Getting Started

Before getting started, merchants should:
  • Make sure NFC is turned on
  • Make sure they have a screen lock turned on (PIN or biometric)
  • Familiarise themselves with where their NFC chip is located on their device.

National Payments can assist in providing demo credentials to merchants if they wish to test their devices first.

Device Requirements

GameChanger app by National Payments is designed to run on the consumer-grade Android smartphones and tablets that you may already own. Here are the requirements:
  • Phone must have Android OS, version 10.0 or higher
  • Phone must have NFC capability (nearly all phones today do)
  • Internet connection is required. Both WiFi or mobile LTE work
  • The application runs on both smartphones and tablets

For best results, we recommend using higher specification phones from reputable providers.
